Itinerary

DAY 1: KUALA LUMPUR – MARRAKECH

  • Arrival in Marrakech Morocco
  • Lunch on route
  • Visit the Marrakech historical city: the Koutoubia Minaret, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Medersa ben Youssef
  • Visit the famous Djemaa El Fna square with its surrounding, the medina and the bazaars, souks and handicraft quarters
  • Transfer to hotel and check in
  • Dinner at hotel

DAY 2: MARRAKECH – CASABLANCA

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Continue enjoying Marrakech. Founded in 1070-72 by the Almoravids, this magical city remained a political, economic and cultural center for a long period
  • Depart towards Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco
  • Visit Hassan II Mosque, a breathtaking mosque that is able to accommodate more than 100,000 worshipers

DAY 3: CASABLANCA – RABAT – FEZ

DAY 4: FEZ – TANGIER

DAY 5: TANGIER – TARIFA – SEVILLE

  • Proceed to the harbour for ferry - after crossing the Gibraltar Strait, arrival to Tarifa
  • Transfer to Seville (the Islamic Ishbiliya), current capital of Andalusia, filled with scent of azahar (orange blossom)
  • Lunch on route
  • Seville city tour through the highlights of this charming city, considered by many the most beautiful of Spain: the emblematic Giralda, former Almohad minaret, the Seville Cathedral, Santa Cruz quarter, the banks of the Guadalquivir River, the Torre del Oro, the beautiful Plaza de Espana

DAY 6: SEVILLE – CORDOBA

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Transfer to Córdoba
  • Visit the superb historic center of the old Umayyad capital: the exquisite Great Aljama Mosque of Cordoba, the most splendid Islamic monument in the Western world

DAY 7: CORDOBA – GRANADA

  • Transfer to Granada (Gharnata), the last Muslim Kingdom in Al Andalus
  • Enjoy the great view of the Alhambra palace from the famous Saint Nicholas Mirador
  • Visit the New Mosque of Granada, the first built in Spain by Spanish Muslims

  • Guided visit to the wonderful Alhambra, the red fortress and palace built on top of a hill. It’s the most visited attraction in Spain and one of the most famous in the world: Alcazaba (Citadel), the three Nasrid Palaces and the magnificent gardens of the Generalife.

DAY 8: GRANADA – MADRID

  • Crossing the natural border called “Despeñaperros” (that means "Where the dogs fall down"), we say goodbye to Andalusia and reach La Mancha, Don Quixote’s land, a landscape full of vineyards and beautiful windmills.

  • City tour through the highlights of Madrid, the only western capital founded by Muslims and one of the liveliest and most charming cities in Europe: the Royal Palace (photo stop), Plaza de España, Gran Vía, Cibeles Fountain, Puerta de Alcalá, Paseo de la Castellana, and, of course, Real Madrid Stadium (photo stop).
